"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world," rightly quoted by Nelson Mandela.Education does not mean mere knowledge from the books. Knowledge includes training of the whole body of a youth, both psychologically, mentally and physically that is useful to the service of humankind. It's the educated people in the society who understand the importance of mental and physical well being. Our knowledge which is gained by experience, education and dealing with numerous people in the society is what speaks on our behalf, about our thoughts. There is no use of education alone, until and unless it is clearly conveyed to the people around us and to our peers. Therefore, expressing oneself is of utmost importance in any situation. In the words of Malcolm X, "Education is the passport to future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today."
What is cyber security? Let’s answer this question. Cyber security means protecting our data, networks, programs and other information from unauthorized or unattended access, destruction and cyber bullies. In today’s times, it is important to be well informed about cyber security and equally important is its implementation. Around the globe nowadays, the threats and chances of cyberattacks have increased, and so has the necessity to be cyber-alert. Due to these reasons, companies have started developing softwares to protect the data and information stored on our devices. This protection is also termed as ‘cyber security’. Not only does cyber security help secure information, but it also prevents some dangerous virus attacks. We often wonder how it is possible for cyber bullies to reach us. Well, the rapid development of technology and the availability of internet to the public is the pathway to cybercrime. It’s the hackers who commit cybercrimes and cyberwarfares. So, let’s see some ways through which they can be stopped. The simplest way is to change our passwords. If we do so then we can put a stop on such people and sleep peacefully throughout the night. But remember; the password shouldn’t be easy to crack. Next what we can do is delete unused accounts, because it’s the easiest way for an attacker to gain entry in our computer devices. We should also keep our softwares up to date and set up antivirus softwares on desktops for protection. Today, due to high cyber-attack rates, it is necessary for each and every person in the world to be aware about cyber security. Thus, we should try and inform people about this through social media platforms, posters, essays and blogs. I wish you all a happy cyber experience!
We have all been hearing and seeing these two words "Hostile Takeover" all over the news and social media these days after the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk. In this piece I'll try and explain it to you. In simple words, a hostile takeover occurs when one company is acquired by another person or another company against their will by using several different tactics which can be very bizarre but definitely very clever. There have been very large hostile takeovers, but the recent biggest one is that of Twitter by Elon Musk. A hostile takeover is generally seen as an unethical practice in the business world, but sometimes it helps the investors on the target company's board get benefited.
Marketing is the act of getting people to know about your product or brand. It's a lot like advertising, but instead of using money to get people to know about you, you use your own time and energy. In fact, marketing can be seen as one of the best methods of advertising seen throughout history. For example, in 1855 when the first Coca-Cola was invented, they didn't have money to advertise their product. Instead, they sent out bottles with a note that said "Open me!" The idea was that people would open up the bottle and see what it was all about before buying it themselves—and if they liked it enough, they'd buy more bottles! Marketing has evolved over time as well—if you think about it, there are some very modern forms of marketing: for instance, marketing through social media platforms like Facebook or Instagram; or even using video ads instead of just text-based ads (like on YouTube). In today's world where everything is so fast-paced and busy that sometimes we forget what is important in life—we forget how valuable each person's time really is! So why not spend some time explaining why your product is worth buying? Why
The experience was staggering, I’d be at a loss for words if I start explaining it in just plain words, so let’s start from the beginning! Doing a podcast, is definitely not an easy task, and it just becomes ten times harder when you study, you are running a startup and a hundred different things on top of that. I’ve always wanted to create my own podcast, since a long time I’ve been listening to GaryVee’s podcast, and a lot of different podcasts started by people who are well known and well respected in the podcast as well as the business field. I finally took the plunge and started my podcast. Well, the toughest thing for me, that really troubled me was how would I get guests on the podcast, because trust me no one likes to listen to a one-person podcast, unless that one podcast tells something so insightful that it leaves a great impact on the person, I could do that, but it would not fulfil the reason why I wanted to start a podcast in the first place, and the reason is to learn some awesome things from the guests that come on the pod at the same time create an enjoyable and valuable experience for the listeners, since, my utmost priority is to create value, whether it be the creation of spik&splash, the podcast and all the different things I am planning on doing in the future. If I diverge from the main topic for just some time, the reason why I started spik&splash was because of my genuine passion and love for writing and reading, I always wanted to do something for the reading and writing community and we constantly try to bring some long needed revolution and changes in this industry, and save it from stagnating. Coming back to my main point, the podcast, well after days of work, I was finally able to get a guest on the podcast, well, one main reason for that has to be that the podcast was at a very very early stage, and no guest really got anything out of it, but still as we all know there are some people in this world, that are always ready to help others, and they spared some time out of their busy schedules to come on the podcast, which created very little value for them but still they did it and that’s the best part of it. That’s it from my side in this piece, now your turn, share your own personal story that you can never forget, we’ll love to hear it. Thank you for reading, I’ll see you in the next one :)
India is a land where numerous brilliant minds have made contribution in the field of science and technology and together, enhanced its position around the globe. Today, India has the second largest group of scientists and engineers in the world, which is a great success. It is believed that Indians have always been intelligent in terms of science, starting from the ancient period itself. For example, the iron pillar situated in Mehrauli, New Delhi, as the name suggests, is made of iron, but it has not rusted even to this day. Interesting, huh? This tells us that people of the past were really intelligent and had deciphered a way to prevent rusting of the pillar. In today’s times, India is emerging as a powerful country in terms of technology as well. Despite the deficiency of high-end equipment and funds, India has succeeded in beating the leaders in the fields of mathematics, chemistry, space studies etc. Since independence, India started promoting science for the national development of the country. Great scientists; such as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Dr. Srinivasa Ramanujan, Aryabhatta and many others were the reason because of whom the technological development in this country led to a rise in the economy. If we talk about India’s achievements, then we find that there are simply a lot of them. ISRO was the first to launch a staggering 104 satellites on a single rocket. The country also developed a satellite for domestic communication. Next, India is one of the five nations to launch a nuclear submarine named INS Arihant. Now, towards a big accomplishment, an 18 year old developed the world’s smallest satellite. It goes on to show what creative minds the youths of the country have. Also, an indigenous supercomputer called PARAM was an invention done in India. And of course, how can we forget the success of Chandrayaan and the development of atomic clock? We must not forget that before independence, all of this was just a dream. Post-independence, India initially took baby steps in the field of science and technology. However, with the passage of time our prowess in this field has grown exponentially. The development in science and technology is touching every aspect of our day to day life and is contributing to national development in a major way. So, shouldn’t we be proud of our country? Think about it. Because, #WhyNot?
“What is laughter? It is the free medicine that is available to each one of us which keeps us happy and away from diseases. It is important for everyone to laugh as it brings about positivity amongst all age groups. It is advised for all people to laugh, especially those who are in depression or have stress regarding their jobs and those who have a hectic lifestyle, as it relaxes the mind and provides energy to the body to work happily. We should find happiness in small things in order to maintain peace and harmony among ourselves in tough situations. People say that the first thing we should do when we wake up in the morning is to laugh loudly as this activity relaxes and stretches the muscles of each part of the body which ultimately freshen us and make us active for the whole day. It’s very usual to hear that the maximum population takes this lightly but the people other than those are the ones, who, even if they don’t have wealth, are content and happy if they have tripped upon and started walking on the path of truth and laughter!!
“Equality has no gender”. This thought has the potential to change peoples’ mindsets and can also lead towards a positive society. Generally, men think that a woman can’t understand anything better than them and also that they have a small brain; which is true indeed as per science. But it’s only proven that the size is small, not the thoughts. Their thoughts are far more powerful and impactful than valued. It is important for men and women to understand the value of women and their rights. Listening to all the threats and foul language used by husbands, women tend to hide their feelings, emotions and the mental trauma they undergo from everyone. This should not be acceptable. Not at all, why should women and girls hide their feelings? Don’t they have any rights? On the contrary, it’s good to see that the government is taking steps to improve the situation in societies by making more crèches for kids in work places, by organising programs in welfare for women, by making education gender sensitive etc. Along with the government we as individuals should as well take steps and create awareness to ensure that gender equality becomes a lived reality.
The other day my elderly friends and I were sitting in the park after our morning walk, we discussed the difference of our beliefs or values between our children and grandchildren. While my friend said strongly "It is Generation Gap". I elaborated it as the difference in thoughts and tastes among younger generation versus older ones. My other friend added "It is due to the responsibilities of an adult and stress that comes from life, parents due to lack of time to spend with the kids every day, even it is seen in the classroom between teachers and students due to mismatch between the method of teaching and learning". One more thought came in our mind that, the elderly people try to thrust their own views upon the younger generation, which they claim to have been acquired out their life long experience. However, the times have changed and they should learn to give liberty to better communication and better coordination with the younger generation, in token of appreciation and acknowledgement, the major issue arises due to mental gap in difference in thinking. For example, while older generation believe in using pen and paper, the younger generation has adopted a digital way of life. In the end we concluded that the younger generation is more digital, native and fast, they are quick to adopt anything which is new to them. We dispersed on a happy note that instead of forcing the views on the young people, elders should be flexible and learn to keep pace with the fast-growing world.
Building something great and impactful, and something that people will want to use, like and most importantly make the product which I make a part of their lives has always been of the topmost priority for me. But, how did I really develop this thought process and why will I continue in the future? Well, I was introduced to the world of coding back in the year 2020. I started out with Hyper Text Markup Language(HTML) then progressed further and learnt different programming languages. As time passed by, I slowly developed a keen interest in startups, business, most importantly creating impact. I learnt several different technologies, created multiple websites, and I knew that this what I want to do. I want to create something which makes this world a better place and helps everyone and most importantly makes me and all the people that use these products happy. So, on 4th March 2022, I decided to start spik&splash. spik&splash is a website for people who like to read and write, I felt that even there were a few other websites that were operating in this niche, but I did not find any of them offering the thing which I wanted to. This is what inspires me each day and trust me this is just the start, if someone writes on this platform right now it will be like an investment in their future. We work day and night to make spik&splash better, we work on the technology part to make it more User Friendly, Smoother, and a much better experience for whoever visits this website. Even though spik&splash might look like just a basic website there are a lot things going behind the scenes and we are constantly working on making spik&splash an awesome website and the future is very bright for people who write on our platform right now. What About Vopped Then? Many people ask me this question, well, spik&splash is a great product and it has unlimited potential, but I wanted to create impact in several different industries and markets, so, we decided to create Vopped, under which several different apps/websites are and will be made. Till now there are two projects which are functioning under Vopped, these projects are spik&splash and the recently launched one, which is The Umbrella Times. Building Vopped is not an easy task and will definitely not be an easy task in the future, but with some support, hard work, dedication and patience we all achieve our goals, and that is what I will continue to do. Liked this piece I have written? Keep an eye to read more whenever I upload again. See you in the next one :)
